National Best Friend Day
Today as I've been looking through my vsco and Instagram feed, I have seen a ton of posts about best friends. It made me think a lot about my best friend, my mom. My mom is the most amazing human I have ever met. She is so caring and loving and awesome. Never once have I not been able to go to my mom about something, she is always there for me. She knows how to comfort me and what to
say to make me feel better. The past two years have been really rough for me, and my mom has been by my side every step of the way to make me as happy as I can be. She is the most selfless person, she would climb mountains for anyone, even a stranger. I have been so blessed to have her have such a huge role in my life. She has coached me in every sport, mainly basketball, since I was little. This year was my first year of basketball that she didn't coach me, transitioning to high school ball was already hard enough without losing her as a coach. She taught me how to be the best player I could be, on and off the court, and showed me how much potential I have. I am the player and the person I am because of the lessons my mom has taught me through the years. From her crazy, wound-up personality to her falling asleep the second she sits down, I love everything about my mom. I have never found a friend in anyone like the friend I have found in my mom. I am beyond thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful woman as my mother. I love you more Mommy.
