National Best Friend Day

Today as I've been looking through my vsco and Instagram feed, I have seen a ton of posts about best friends. It made me think a lot about my best friend, my mom. My mom is the most amazing human I have ever met. She is so caring and loving and awesome. Never once have I not been able to go to my mom about something, she is always there for me. She knows how to comfort me and what to say to make me feel better. The past two years have been really rough for me, and my mom has been by my side every step of the way to make me as happy as I can be. She is the most selfless person, she would climb mountains for anyone, even a stranger. I have been so blessed to have her have such a huge role in my life. She has coached  me in every sport, mainly basketball, since I was little. This year was my first year of basketball that she didn't coach me, transitioning to high school ball was already hard enough without losing her as a coach. She taught me how to be the best player I could be, on and off the court, and showed me how much potential I have. I am the player and the person I am because of the lessons my mom has taught me through the years. From her crazy, wound-up personality to her falling asleep the second she sits down, I love everything about my mom. I have never found a friend in anyone like the friend I have found in my mom. I am beyond thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful woman as my mother. I love you more Mommy.

Eighteen Milestone There is a few big milestones you hit while growing up. You turn 13 and officially become a teenager, then you have your sweet 16, then you finally become an adult and turn 18, and then there's 21, you're the real deal now. Well I have hit one of the last milestones-- 18 years old. While all the previous milestones haven't seen like much of a change, this one is different. This one is big. This one comes with all of the changes.  Changes In the next year of my life,  I am going to go through some of the biggest changes that I might ever go through in lifel. I am going to graduate high school, I am going to move away from the place I have called home for the past 18 years, and I am going to start college. 2020          Since I was old enough to comprehend what the year 2020 was, I couldn't wait for it. I knew that 2020 was going to be the year that held so many bittersweet endings and so many new beginnings. I knew that I was going to turn 18 and become an adult. I was finally going to graduate high school, younger me didn't comprehend that I still had a whole lot of education to go through, lol. I was going to decide on a college of my choice. The most dreaded though, I was going to move out and away from what has always been my home.
